FAQ's Where are you guys located? We are a mobile jet ski rental company and put our jet skis in at Swoope Boat Ramp (2455 Boat Ramp Drive) in New Smyrna Beach or with prior notice we can put them in at a different boat ramp. What is the minimum age requirement to rent a jet ski with Salt Life Expeditions? 14 years old but will need to have a valid ID and accompanied by a parent/guardian who will be responsible for the rental and operation of the jet ski. Additionally, all renters will sign our rental agreement and waivers before operating jet skis. Safety is our #1 priority as we want you to have an enjoyable and safe time on the water. Can I just show up and rent jet skis? NO. a reservation is required. However, you can call us at 386-409-1174 for last minute cancellations/availability. How much is the deposit? No deposit, however if the jet ski is overturned , ran through a sandbar or damaged there will be a $300 charge to the card on file. Can my children ride with me? Children aged 6 and up are allowed to ride as passengers. Life vests will be provided. What do I bring with me? Photo ID is required to drive our jet skis. We recommend protective eyewear while riding. Sunscreen is always recommended. At what time should I arrive for my reservation? Arrive 30 minutes prior to reservation time. Check in, go over waiver forms, receive instructions from staff. ARRIVING 30 MINUTES EARLY ENSURES YOU DO NOT LOSE TIME ON THE WATER! How do I get my boaters license? Florida law requires All Operators born ON OR AFTER January 1, 1988 to possess a boater safety card. It is imperative to have this completed prior to time of jet ski arrival. Link to boater safety card above. What if I have never ridden a jet ski prior to this? No problem! All customers will be given a tutorial from our friendly staff on how to safely operate our machines. Any and all questions will be answered!
